Abstract
Este artigo analisa a ação do governo Fernando Henrique Cardoso no que concerne à definição e implementação das políticas educacionais em nosso país. Ele contém algumas reflexões que podem ser encontradas na Tese “Guerra Cultural pela Escola no Brasil: Disputa pela Direção do Plano Nacional de Educação (1988 - 10 1999)”, onde, de forma mais abrangente, são analisadas a ação dos principais grupos e alianças que disputam pela definição das políticas educacionais em nosso país.
