Abstract
O presente artigo tem como proposta apresentar algumas considerações teóricas e metodológicas sobre educação patrimonial. Coloca como objetivos maiores sensibilizar para a preservação e fomentar a autoestima. Toma como premissa a escuta da comunidade e como metas o reconhecimento das comunidades no patrimônio e o estímulo à tolerância. Entre as potencialidades, destacamos a capacitação dos agentes sociais para a preservação, a participação das comunidades e o despertar de vocações profissionais.
