Abstract
The selective catalytic reduction of NO by propane in the presence of excess oxygen has been studied over catalysts based on Pt supported on Fe-ZSM-5, Co-ZSM-5, Cu- ZSM-5 and MnZSM-5. Pure Pt based catalysts are highly active, but produce large amounts of N2O. The bimetallic catalyst was found to offer wider temperature window than that of monocatalysts, and show a synergistic effect by combining high stability and activity of Pt catalysts with the high N2 selectivity of Fe, Co, Cu, Mn supported on MFI catalysts.
