Abstract
Este artigo tem por objetivo discutir a relação entre religião e política no filósofo alemão Jürgen Habermas a partir do conceito de pós-secularização. O trabalho mostra que há uma dinâmica no pensamento religioso do filósofo. Nele encontramos três fases: a primeira rejeita a religião, a segunda aceita-a no espaço privado e a terceira admite sua presença também no espaço público. Esta última tem como base a tese habermasiana de que vivemos numa sociedade pós-secularizada. O filósofo, a partir do conceito de solidariedade cidadã, mostra que a religião representa uma fonte de moralidade importante para o fortalecimento da democracia liberal.
