Abstract
Este trabalho apresenta uma análise do poema <em>Quitandeira,</em> da obra <em>Poemas, </em>de Agostinho Neto. Esse poema traz, na figura de uma vendedora de frutas perdida em seu cotidiano, a realidade histórico-política de Angola, país submetido por séculos ao jugo de Portugal. O aniquilamento do sujeito, a depreciação da condição humana, a luta ideológica por meio da arte poética são vieses que este trabalho busca ressaltar, além de se caracterizar como um trabalho que ressalta a importância da Literatura Africana de Expressão Portuguesa no Brasil.
