Abstract
This paper is an approach to the different ways in which a narrative material can be reused in the cultural industries through the case study of the United States. Starting from the present situation of the investigations on literary adaptation and film remake, we will offer our own model to study these practices as a whole using the works of the french narratologist Gerard Genette. Finally we will vindicated that this area of study has a great interest for the scholars in the field of popular culture.
