Abstract
Frente a los manuales al uso sobre el arte del Renacimiento, la monografía publicada por la colección de Básicos Arte Cátedra firmada por Miguel Ángel Zalama ofrece desde su planteamiento una gran aportación: la de matizar los parámetros que definían claramente tanto a nivel histórico como estético y geográfico el arte del Renacimiento. De este modo se rompe con los presupuestos monolíticos y aún vivos sobre este periodo, ofreciendo análisis muy depurados sobre lo que es o no es arte renacentista.
