Abstract
O presente trabalho deseja repor a pergunta pela Teoria Crítica, indagando sobre seu sentido, sua natureza, seus objetivos, seu método, aqui e agora. Remetendo ao texto clássico de Horkheimer, Teoria Tradicional e Teoria Crítica (1937), bem como ao livro que o influenciou, História e Consciência de Classe (1922), de Lukács, a exposição ensaia uma tentativa de recuperar de algum modo o sentido dessa Teoria Crítica, mais do que caracterizar o que ela foi e o que ela se tornou ou a herança que deixou.
