Abstract
The objective of this paper is to analyze the importance of literary translation in terms of intercultural and intellectual opening to other forms of thought in the literary supplement Letras & Artes (1946-1954), as well as to show how literary translation becomes an important mechanism for cultural, social, and political education from a synchronic perspective of literature. The methodology employed was the review of the catalogue compilation of translations published in the literary supplement.
