Abstract
Este es un gran libro, no solo por el tamaño y la envergadura de la investigación involucrada, sino por su alcance intelectual. Gonzalo Cataño sostiene que Luis Eduardo Nieto Arteta, quizás el pensador colombiano más influyente de su época, fue emblemático en una generación” de colombianos que introdujeron el pensamiento “moderno” en la vida nacional. Los términos “generación” y “moderno” son bastante escurridizos, y sus significados y sus límites son difíciles de precisar, pero el autor hace un buen trabajo defendiendo su uso en el capítulo inicial, sobre el método de su investigación.
