Abstract

In this article, the dynamics of attitudes of voters living in Krasnoyarsk towards integration of Krasnoyarsk territory, Taimyr and Evenkia into a new subject of Russian Federation in 2005 are analyzed, basing on the results of sociological research, made by its author. The author analyzed the influence by various factors, which imposed on the voting citizens’ activity. It is found out, that the readiness to participate in the referendum was to a lesser extent determined by financial position, social well-being, precise perception of social problems or attitude towards state authorities, than by notions about who was most interested in integrating, and expectations of possible changes in their private lives. Major reasons for ignoring the referendum are detected.
