Abstract
La expulsión de los jesuitas de los territorios españoles peninsulares y de Indias ha sido un tema histórico ampliamente investigado, que ha dado origen a numerosos trabajos. Sin embargo, como en toda investigación científica, existen aún lagunas. Esta aportación cubre una de ellas, el conocimiento de la travesía náutica que hizo posible conducir a las Islas Filipinas las "Órdenes Reales" de esa medida borbónica. El documento que narra y describe ese viaje transpacífico (diciembre de 1767 a mayo de 1768) había permanecido inédito, localizado por nosotros en el Archivo General de Indias en Sevilla, que ahora lo consideramos en este artículo, donde también estudiamos a su autor. Un trabajo más amplio está en preparación, en el que incluiremos la trascripción completa de ese documento junto con otros aportes sobre el tema.
