Abstract

Traditionally dependant of foreign masters and classical models, the barroque architecture in Asturias experienced an important renovation leaded by the Menéndez Camina dynasty. During the last decades of the 17th and early 18th centuries, this Avilés-born family dominated the main architectural commissions and contributed with important novelties to the region’s building panorama.
