<em>suncus etruscus</em> (savi, 1822) (mammalia, soricidae) nell'isola di lipari (arcipelago eoliano, tirreno meridionale)

<strong>Abstract</strong> <strong><em>Suncus etruscus</em> (Savi, 1822) (Mammalia, Soricidae) in the island of Lipari (Eolian Archipelago, southern Tirrenian sea, Italy)</strong> The pygmy white-toothed shrew, <em>Suncus etruscus</em> (Savi, 1822), is recorded for the first time for the island of Lipari. Eight specimens (3 males and 5 females) were found during 2002-03 in the surroundings of the main urban area of the island. The average of the main biometric measures of the examined specimens are 42.6 ± 3.7 mm (head-body) and 24.3 ± 1.1 mm (tail) for the males, and 42.3 ± 1.8 mm (head-body) and 25.8 ± 1.1 mm (tail) for the females.
