Abstract
No presente trabalho, procuro investigar um dos cruzamentos genológicos que permeiam o diário escrito pela jovem diamantinense, ou melhor, Alice Dayrell Caldeira Brant, intitulado Minha vida de menina. Estendendo a tempos mais remotos o seu ato memorialístico, através da incorporação da voz antiga do"senso comum" expressa nos provérbios, a autora utiliza-os/recebe-os, segundo os ditames da conveniência própria, fazendo deles uma das camadas do aparato argumentativo que constrói, em diálogo consigo mesma e/ou com o seu diário.
