Abstract
This paper examines the process of Europeanization of public administration in Ukraine in the context of EU conditionality. For post-communist countries the process of European integration is a real opportunity to initiate and successfully complete large-scale national project of modernization, as EU membership allows them to combine internal desire for change with powerful external incentives and assistance. On the basis of author’s criterion for the presence of elements of conditionality it analyses the periods of EU – Ukraine relations development and some of bilateral documents adopted within the context of these periods and that directly or indirectly affect the system of public administration. It is noted that the Association Agreement is the first bilateral document that has a distinctly conditionality character, so in case of signing and entry into force it will be a noticeable factor of public administration Europeanization in Ukraine.
