Abstract
En 1994 se realizó en Bratislava (Eslovaquia) una reunión a la que asistieron con igual entusiasmo estudiantes de estadística, matemáticos, astrónomos, esoteristas, biólogos y médicos de todas las disciplinas; el tema que atrajo a tan variado público no fue otro que la cronobiología, la ciencia que estudia la acción de los ritmos biológicos en los seres vivos. Y es que desde el inicio de la vida, la actividad de los seres vivos ha estado marcada por la ritmicidad, por la presencia del día y la noche, de las estaciones y de otras claves temporales que afectan a todas las funciones de los organismos vivos.
