Modernidad, crueldad
y exclusión del sujeto,
o las contradanzas del
discurso capitalista
A pocos años de iniciarse el siglo
XXI, la humanidad experimenta contradicciones
inéditas en su historia.
Por una parte, vivencia el dominio
de la ciencia sobre la naturaleza, así
como los avances tecnológicos y un
confort, nunca antes vistos, pero, la
crueldad y la segregación son cada
vez más frecuentes y exacerbadas.
Este texto pretende mostrar que
el par crueldad-vulnerabilidad es
inherente tanto a la constitución
del sujeto a partir del Otro, como
al vínculo social y, también, que
su aparición es posible gracias a
condiciones históricas, como es el
caso del neoliberalismo.

Peu après le début du XXIème siècle,
l’humanité éprouve des contradictions
inédites dans son histoire.
D’une part, elle ressent la domination
de la science sur la nature, de
même que les avancées théoriques
et un confort jamais vus auparavant,
mais la cruauté et la ségrégation
sont de plus en plus fréquentes
et exacerbées. L’article cherche
à montrer que le couple cruauté/
vulnérabilité est inséparable de
la constitution du sujet à partir
de l’Autre de même que du lien
social, et aussi que son apparition
es possible grâce à des conditions
historiques, comme dans le cas du
libéralisme.

and Exclusion of the
Subject, or the Capitalist
Discourse Contra Dances
As the twenty-first century approaches,
humanity experiences
unprecedented contradictions in its
history. First, we have experienced
the domination of science over
nature, and technological advances
and comfort, never seen before,
but cruelty and segregation are
becoming more frequent and exacerbated.
This paper shows that the
pair cruelty-vulnerability is inherent
to both the constitution of the
subject from the Other, and to the
social link, and, also, its appearance
is made possible due to historical
conditions, such as neoliberalism.
