Abstract
Resumo   Este artigo analisa a atuação da organização de ajuda humanitária denominada de Comitê de Socorro à Europa Faminta, SEF, no contexto brasileiro e internacional entre os anos de 1946 e 1949. A análise mostra a importância da atuação de organismos de ajuda humanitária para a reconstrução da Alemanha do pós-guerra no Brasil, identifica as motivações políticas e ideológicas que fizeram com que as elites do grupo étnico alemão no país se mobilizassem em prol da Alemanha, bem como destaca seu papel na criação e articulação do comitê. O artigo identifica as dificuldades enfrentadas pelo Comitê de Socorro à Europa Faminta na remessa de ajuda humanitária para a Europa, em especial para a Alemanha, bem como os grupos sociais que tomaram parte nas suas arrecadações, as estratégias de articulação de suas lideranças junto aos círculos do poder, a função social e ideológica do comitê para a comunidade étnica alemã no Brasil.   Abstract   This article analyzes the performance of the humanitarian aid organization called the Committee for Relief to the Hungry Europe, SEF, in the Brazilian context and internationally between the years 1946 and 1949. The analysis shows the importance of the aid agencies role for the reconstruction of Germany’s post-war in Brazil, it identifies the political and ideological motivations that caused the elites of the German ethnic group in the country to mobilize in favor of Germany as well as it highlights its role in the creation and articulation of the committee. The article identifies the difficulties faced by the Committee for Relief to the Hungry in the shipment of humanitarian aid to Europe, especially to Germany, as well as the social groups that have taken part in the collections, the articulation strategies of their leadership along with the power circles, the social and ideological function of the committee for the ethnic German community in Brazil.
