Abstract
Resumo Este artigo é baseado na etnografia da visita do Papa Francisco ao Santuário Nacional de Nossa Senhora Aparecida, no ano de 2013, e tem por objetivo explorar a configuração da paisagem urbana da cidade-santuário de Aparecida, no interior paulista. Assim, pretende-se por um lado demonstrar como as relações entre os poderes religiosos e os poderes políticos manifestam-se naquele município, e por outro lado desvendar como a simultaneidade destes poderes coordena a paisagem urbana na Capital da Fé.
