Abstract
Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación cualitativa sobre los migrantes de Valle de Solís (Temascalcingo, México), una región de lejana tradición en la migración internacional. Se abordan diversas etapas de la migración masculina y la incorporación de las mujeres al flujo migratorio. Mediante la observación de tres generaciones de migrantes se analizan cambios sociales importantes en la vida cotidiana de tres comunidades pertenecientes al Valle de Solís para entender la lógica migratoria a partir de motivaciones locales que exigen un cambio social frente a procesos globales de movilidad.
