Abstract
De los 176 pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Militar Central de Luanda, Angola durante 1991 a 1993 con lesiones de vísceras huecas producto de heridas por arma de fuego en abdomen, se realizó sutura continua extramucosa en 161 con lesiones de I. Delgado, que incluyeron 84 resecciones y 96 enterorrafia y se combinaron los procedimientos en 24 enfermos. Se realizaron 13 gastrorrafias y 2 anastomosis en estómago (gastroyeyunostomía posterior a gastrectomía). Ocho pacientes presentaban lesiones extensas del colon derecho y se les efectuó hemicolectomía con ileotransversostomía. Entre los órganos afectados se destacan el bazo, el hígado y los riñones. Las complicaciones más frecuentes fueron la flebitis del miembro superior y la infección de la herida. En un paciente se presentó una dehiscencia parcial de la sutura que se manifestó por fístula estercorácea (hemicolectomía derecha con ileotransversostomía)
