Abstract
Rhinella gr. margaritifera pertence a um grupo composto por 15 espécies, caracterizados como anuros de médio porte, generalistas, terrestres e diurnos. Os machos vocalizam em poças temporárias e permanentes. Objetivando descrever a atividade reprodutiva de Rhinella gr. margaritifera em área de floresta primária na Amazônia Oriental, foram realizadas observações durante as atividades de campo no Parque Natural Municipal do Cancão, município de Serra do Navio, Amapá, Brasil. A desova de Rhinella gr. margaritifera ocorreu em duas poças temporárias com água barrenta, fundo lamoso e sem vegetação emergente. A atividade de vocalização ocorreu no período diurno (09h37min) e noturno (18h30min). Os machos da população estudada são menores (CRC = 35,82 mm) que as fêmeas (CRC = 41,16 mm). O amplexo observado foi axilar. As desovas estavam envolvidas por um cordão gelatinoso. O ovo apresentou diâmetro médio de 11,4 ± 0,2 mm (1,4 – 2 mm). Palavras-chave: reprodução, Rhinella gr. margaritifera, Amazônia Oriental.
