Abstract
Com o objetivo de aprofundar oconhecimento dos processos hidrológicos quanto aobalanço hídrico e seus componentes, a precipitação,o deflúvio e a evapotranspiração, estudou-se umamicrobacia experimental de primeira ordem, a qualpossui área de 37,5 ha e vegetação secundária deMata Atlântica. Localiza-se a leste do Estado de SãoPaulo, no Parque Estadual da Serra do Mar – NúcleoCunha, entre os paralelos 23º 13’ 28’’ e 23º 16’ 10’’ delatitude sul e os meridianos 45º 02’ 53’’ e 45º 05’ 15’’de longitude oeste de Greenwich. No períodocompreendido entre outubro de 2001 a setembrode 2006, efetuaram-se medições contínuas dasprecipitações pluviométricas e das descargas.Os dados de precipitação apresentaram-se consistentespela curva de dupla-massa. A precipitação médiaanual foi de 1.784,0 mm, com 73% ocorrendo noperíodo chuvoso, sendo o deflúvio médio anual de1.086,5 mm. Ambas variáveis mostraram amplavariação entre os anos estudados. O balanço hídricoresultou numa evapotranspiração média de 697,5 mm,representando 39,1% da precipitação média anual.Esse corrobora os de outros estudos na região, ou seja,uma baixa evapotranspiração para as cabeceiras dorio Paraíba do Sul.The main propose of this study was toimprove the knowledge on hydrological processes,mainly related to water balance and its componentsprecipitation, evapotranspiration and discharge.The study was carried out in a catchment with area of37.5 ha, covered by secondary Atlantic Rainforest.The experimental area is located on the Serra do MarState Park, between the following geographiccoordinates: 23º 13’ 28’’ to 23º 16’ 10’ S and45º 02’ 53’’to 45º 05’ 15’’ W. It’s a first order catchmentthat belongs to the Paraiba do Sul River basin.The data period was from October 2001 to September2006. Rainfall values as well as the discharge of thecatchment were measured continuously. The analysisof consistency of rainfall data was made by usingthe double mass curve method. As a result, theaverage rainfall observed was 1748.0 mm and theaverage annual discharge was 1086.5 mm. Seventythreepercent of the total amount of precipitationoccurred during the rainy season. Evapotranspirationaverage annual value obtained from the water balancecorresponded to 697.5 mm. These results are accordingto another researches carried out in these headwaterstreams and permitted to infer that there is a lowevapotranspiration in the headwater catchmentslocated in the Paraiba do Sul basin, incomparison with another regions.
