Abstract
O passado nunca se repete, mas pode inspirar o presente, tanto na reatualização interpretada de suas expressões de verdade, de bem e de beleza, quanto na rejeição de sua dose de erro e de maldade. Nisso a história é magistra vitae, na expressão do orador romano. Tanto é mais importante recordar e aprender da história quanto mais se impõem "comunidades de escolha" alijando para longe as "comunidades de memória". Assim veremos como os jubileus que nos antecederam nos ensinam tanto pela sua riqueza quanto pelos seus limites.
