Abstract
1. Presentamos, en dos capítulos, un estudio completo sobre el Esfínter de Oddi. 2. En el primer capítulo incluimos todo lo referente a historia, desarrollo embriológico e histología, anatomía y fisiología del esfínter. Dedicamos especial cuidado a los hechos sobre los cuales se han discutido más los investigadores. 3. En el segundo capítulo se habla de us patología, etíopatogenia, clasificación clínico, radiológica y sintomatología, diagnóstico métodos de exploración y tratamiento médico y quirúrgico. 4. Agregamos finalmente, un caso tratado por el profesor Bonilla Naar, con nuestra colaboración, con el fin de exponer una modificación a la técnica descrita por Shackelford y colaboradores, que por la forma práctica y realmente sencilla como segura de pasar el tubo de cattell al duodeno, tiene un evidente interés.
