Abstract
La relación entre Rusia y la UE tiene una importancia fundamental, pero es enormemente compleja y difícil. Es preciso que la UE desarrolle una política hacia Rusia que sea realizable pero también ambiciosa. Las relaciones con Rusia, que se hallan de hecho en un impasse, son demasiado importantes como para que queden lastradas por cualquier problema bilateral. La UE debe tratar a Rusia como lo que es: un socio estratégico muy importante, e intentar que, progresivamente, se vaya acercando al sistema de reglas y valores que representa el proyecto europeo.
