Abstract
Die PDA-Plattform Ebook Library (EBL) ist an der Universitätsbibliothek Leipzig seit 2012 im Einsatz. In dem Beitrag werden Nutzungsdaten über einen zweijährigen Zeitraum nutzergesteuerter Erwerbung für E-Books ausgewertet. Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Evaluierung der kostenrelevanten Kurzausleihen, deren Nutzungsintensität und -häufigkeit. Die Untersuchung zeigt auf, wie durch eine veränderte und auf das beschriebene Nutzerverhalten hin optimierte Parametrisierung ein effizienterer Einsatz von PDA erreicht wurde. Since 2012, the PDA platform Ebook Library (EBL) has been in use at the Leipzig University Library. This study provides an analysis of usage data covering two years of patron driven acquisition of e-books focussing on the evaluation of use and re-use of short term loans. It is shown how a more efficient operation of PDA can be achieved by adjusting licensing parameters according to the described usage patterns.
