Abstract
O professor do Programa de Pós-graduação em Comunicação em Ciências da Comunicação e pró-reitor Acadêmico da Unisinos, Pedro Gilberto Gomes, ao lado de pesquisadores como os professores-doutores Antonio Fausto Neto, Luiz Braga e Jairo Ferreira, é um dos pioneiros nas investigações em torno do fenômeno da midiatização no Brasil e América Latina. Sua pesquisa está fortemente marcada pela percepção de que a humanidade está em meio a uma transformação substancial em seu modo de ser e atuar em decorrência da midiatização, e, com ela, da instauração de uma nova ambiência, “um novo modo de ser no mundo”.
