Abstract
The occurrence of the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne graminicola in irrigated rice in Santa Maria, RS during the 1995/96 growing season is reported. Galls on tips of the roots looking like small "umbrella's cabes" were observed. The occurrence of this symptom was detected mainly in areas with no flodding water.
