Abstract
La atención del recién nacido en la sociedad moderna y urbana es un asunto de los adultos. Sien embargo menores de 18 años de estrato bajo que conciben un hijo, en un relación de amistad o noviazgo, asumen parcial o totalmente las tareas socialmente asignadas a los mayores teniendo limitaciones emocionales, económicas y sociofamiliares. La paternidad y la maternidad social son instituciones que contienen tareas importantes para el crecimiento del recién nacido; cuando éstas están en manos de los y las adolescentes son especialmente conflictivas, generan avances y retrocesos en el desarrollo del y la joven, y redefinición de las actividades parentales en el grupo familiar.
