Abstract
The key concept of “Kursus Pra Nikah” (Pre - Marital Course ) is proposed as one of the sollutions in avoiding the rate on divorce cases in Padang Pariaman.  The writing is aimed at answering all questions addressed by people who were tend to be confused on the legal exsistance of BP4 as non formal institution that handle the  cases. The previous data told that woman tand to be the innitiator more in proposing the divorce than man. Considering for the prevention, the BP4 was created to be in charged for doing the pre- marital course since 2011 to the present day.This study was conducted in BP4 Pariaman. A mixed method was used in this study by using questionnaire and  interview. The findings which are gained from the questionnaire showed that 2.9% (117-123) of the sample argue that the course is effective. Then, 38.2% of them (110-123) argue that the course is hardly very effective. Meanwhile, 103-109 (17.6%) of argue that this program is relative effective. The interview data implies that the task of BP4 are related with the social- religious work and do the responsibility to the community  to reach the main purpose of marriage.
