Abstract
The twenty years since the dissolution of the Soviet Union allow for a reassessment of the end of the State and the end of History as common topics of the immediate post Cold War. Among the myriad theories that have been proposed, the peculiar view of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari on the subject may either testify to the consumed demise of the nation-state or yield interesting theoretical possibilities to approach the analysis of international relations. In this latter case, the so-called assemblage theory can penetrate recent events of the international life.
