Abstract
digital ha promovido la aparición en estos últimos años, de repositorios que concentran valiosos recursos para docentes, estudiantes e instituciones educativas, en general.En la actualidad los proyectos de Repositorios de Objetos de Aprendizaje (ROA) han ido en aumento, es por esto que este trabajo aborda el tema de los ROA y su uso en la Universidad de Oriente, para su desarrollo se hace una revisión de los conceptos básicos de los Objetos de Aprendizaje, ya que no se podría hablar de los ROA sin antes mencionar estos tipos de objetos y después se plantea el porqué del uso de este en la Universidad de Oriente y la estrategia a seguir para su implementación, además de la importancia que tiene la utilización de estos repositorios en la enseñanza-aprendizaje.
