Abstract

Este ensaio analisa a relação do poeta português Cesário Verde com alguns poetas brasileiros do século XX, quais sejam: Felipe d´Oliveira; Aníbal Machado; Manuel Bandeira; Murilo Mendes e João Cabral de Melo Neto. A literatura comparada é o nosso vetor teórico, a partir do qual evidenciamos de que forma a tradição do novo, representada por Cesário Verde, é crítica e criativamente revisitada por esses diferentes poetas.
