Abstract
La sostenibilidad es un concepto complejo que incorpora elementos políticos, económicos, tecnológicos y culturales. Al mismo tiempo es hoy una necesidad ineludible reflexionar acerca de cómo podemos llevarla efectivamente a la práctica. En el presente artículo reflexionaremos sobre la emergencia del ciudadano ecológico como actor fundamental en la sostenibilidad, teniendo en cuenta además su importante imbricación social y cultural con la tecnología. En definitiva el texto nos conducirá hacia la necesidad de repensar nuestras formas de participación democrática como ciudadanos ecológicos, con el objetivo de que podamos tomar nuestras propias decisiones de manera libre e informada.
