Abstract
Fisioterapia es la utilización con fin terapéutico de los agentes físicos. Tales son: el agua, el aire, electricidad, luz, calor y frío. Abarca lo que se refiere al clima, altitud, reposo, así como también la marcha, los ejercicios de gimnasia, la trepidación y el masaje. Por esta definición se puede ver el inmenso dominio de la Fisioterapia; casi no hay descubrimiento físico de alguna importancia que no aporte un elemento al arte de curar. Así, la electricidad en sus diversas modalidades, cada día nos suministra medios nuevos para los exámenes de enfermos, y muchas veces de gran valor para los tratamientos.
