Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat perbedaan minat sekolah dan motivasi belajar ditinjau dari pola asuh orangtua, dimana dalam hal ini pola asuh orangtua yang dimaksud adalah otoriter, demokratis dan permisif. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah para siswa yang merupakan anak dari para jemaat di Huria Kristen Indonesia (HKI) Resort Medan V yang berjumlah 90 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan minat sekolah antar siswa yang diasuh dengan pola asuh otoriter, pola asuh demokratis dan permisif (koefisien perbedaan Anava F = 35,375 dengan p = 0,000). Selain itu, diketahui pula bahwa terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar antara siswa yang diasuh dengan pola asuh otoriter, pola asuh demokratis dan permisif (koefisien perbedaan Anava F = 21,378 dengan p = 0,000).
