Abstract
El artículo estudia genealógicamente el debate actual sobre la apropiación de productos informáticos, a partir de las condiciones económicas, legales y políticas de su enunciación. Para ello, rastrea la emergencia de una función pirata, homóloga al concepto foucaultiano de función de autor, para comprender la ilegalidad, la propiedad intelectual y los derechos de autor. Desde una mirada poscolonial se comprende la construcción de diferencias y equivalencias en los intercambios tecnológicos norte-sur.
