Abstract
A jusrisprudência predominante compreende que o agricultor que adquire insumos agrícolas não se encontra em relação de consumo. Entretanto, o aprimoramento das relações de consumo abala esse entendimento, e sugere que deixar de aplicar o Código de Defesa do Consumidor ao agricultor que adquire insumos para o cultivo da lavoura por não o considerar consumidor final é medida restritiva de direitos e não pode continuar a vigorar como única solução possível.
