Abstract
ABSTRACT
The objective of this preliminary ethnographic paper on the expansion of labor opportunities for men and women in Tlayacapan is to present the cultural and economic valuation of pottery making among new generations. I analyze the impact from the introduction of decorative figures in productive and commercial diversification in the locality, on basically two highly important labor processes: 1) new forms of women’s labor insertion, and 2) the workshop-store as an innovative organizational form for pottery production in the future.
