Abstract
The hazards and implicitly the geomorphological risk phenomena in the Silvania Mountains are induced by the present-day shaping processes and they occur on the composite lithological basement with climatic and water conditions specific to the western province. The morphodynamics induced by these current geomorphological processes in the physiognomy of the Silvania landscape is reflected by the typology of associated hazards: geomorphological and water. The pronounced fragmentation due to the alternation of permeable and impermeable formations, chaotic deforestations and the irrational use of the agricultural land favored the development of these shaping processes in a variety of forms including hazards and geomorphological and water-related risk phenomena.
