Abstract
Pri svakom pomorskom pothvatu kriju se opasnosti od mnogih neželjenih situacija. Tijekom plovidbe može se pojaviti potreba za poduzimanjem hitnih mjera u svrhu spašavanja broda, tereta i osoba na brodu. U ovom radu predstavlja se institut zajedničke havarije, sa svojom bogatom poviješću i primjenom u praksi, kao i poneke manjkavosti u ujednačenosti propisa zajedničke havarije. Naglasak se stavlja na York-antwerpenska pravila koja objedinjuju opsežna pravila zajedničke havarije. U istraživanju koristile su se znanstvene metode.
