Abstract
The paper has how objetive to analyze the thinking of CEPAL in the 50 starting from your main theses, as analysis of underdevelopment and notion of center periphery, and their proposals: protectionism and planning of the economy, reducing inflation, regional integration import substitution. Finally, some features of this thought that influenced the Brazilian political thought, such as: structuralism, the predominance of a macro perspective and the development of a peculiar view of history through historical-structuralist developed by the Commission and the reduced role, or almost nil, the social actors in their analysis.
