Abstract
La historia de Castigo divino, del nicaragüense Sergio Ramírez (1942), podría figurar perfectamente en las páginas de cualquier periódico amarillista. Sexo, dinero, poder, muerte y equívoco son los ingredientes perfectos de un suceso estremecedor capaz de despertar el morbo colectivo: un triple asesinato con estricnina, perpetrado por un joven abogado de veinticinco años en las personas de su propia esposa, una posible amante y el padre de ésta. La novela se construye a modo de expediente del caso, combinando registros diversos y divergentes, propios de la industria cultural y de discursos “no literarios”, como se evidencia sin problemas con un simple repaso de los títulos de las partes y capítulos del texto.
