Abstract
The article examines the main sources of economic, social and cultural risks functioning of business organizations in the current socio-economic conditions. The term of ‘risk’ is considered in the light of the sociological approach. Business organization is considered from the point of view of its relations with socio-economic system of a particular society and the global economy as a whole. Emphasis on the relationship of society and culture of a particular corporate culture as a source of potential risks is made. Furthermore we identified main sources of economic and socio-cultural risks and the levels of their manifestation main areas of external and internal organizational environment. The classification of the risks associated with both internal and with external organizational environment, nature and characteristics of their origin in manifestations of the modern market economy is proposed. Thus, we made an attempt to overcome the economic reductionism in the classification of the main risks faced by business organizations in a volatile market system. It is proved that modern cultural and economic conditions require a special type of management’s strategic thinking that would provide not only the ability of organizations to overcome economic threats, but the ability to build effective social and cultural policies. Thus, the role of innovative business strategies in a permanent economic and socio-cultural crisis as the main strategic direction of business activities in the socio-economic conditions of transitional society is scientifically grounded. This innovativeness organization is not only to market innovation, but also to the latest methods of personnel management and interaction with the socio-cultural environment. All this sets the demand on the system of management and sociology of business organizations - constant study of changes in the external and the internal organizational environment, as well as implementing effective management decisions.
