Abstract
Parmi les personnages légendaires, le joueur de hockey Maurice Richard fait son entrée au Temple de la renommée en 1961. Cette « relique contemporaine » dont fait figure le chandail a presque un caractère sacré comme en témoigne sa restriction de sortie du territoire québécois. À travers cet article nous revivons à la fois le parcours d’un homme qui a marqué l’histoire du sport au Québec et celui d’un homme qui porte l’étendard des valeurs québécoises.
