Abstract
O presente artigo analisa dois portais de notícias ligados a grandes grupos de Comunicação da Paraíba (portais O Norte Online e Jornal da Paraíba), à luz da Arquitetura da Informação, a partir do uso adequado ou não de ferramentas de navegação, dentro dos critérios de usabilidade. Para isso foi elaborado um checklist com base em FLEMMING (1998), KRUG (2005), MORVILLE e ROSENFELD (2006), aplicado junto a 60 estudantes do Curso de Comunicação Social da UFPB. Os dados foram analisados em percentuais e alguns comentários adicionais dos usuários pesquisados foram inseridos nos resultados obtidos. Constatou-se que os portais locais desempenham bem papéis básicos de identificação, mas apresentam falhas quanto à navegação.
