Abstract
El nuevo escenario de la comunicación mundializada hace posible que los medios, los tradicionales y los nuevos, contribuyan a una diversidad globalizada. A las puertas del siglo XXI, los procesos de producción, circulación y consumo de mensajes periodísticos consiguen traspasar fácilmente las barreras geográficas. El problema no reside en cruzar las fronteras, sino en cómo se afronta este nuevo reto, que exige una clara defensa de la interculturalidad y la diversidad frente a la homogeneización. A través de este camino podemos aspirar a globalizar la diversidad que representan las culturas locales.
