Abstract
<!-- @page { margin: 2cm } --> <p class="western" align="justify">The pH and the temperature of 140 wastewater samples were analysed in two bovine slaughterhouses, only one of them had effluents treatment system. The conclusion was that the effluents treatment system interfered on pH and temperature.</p>
<!-- @page { margin: 2cm } --> <p class="western" align="justify">Foram analisados o pH e a temperatura de 140 amostras de água de afluentes e efluentes de dois matadouros frigoríficos através de potenciômetro digital portátil e de termômetro de coluna de mercúrio. Um dos frigoríficos possuía tratamento até a fase secundária (tratamento biológico), enquanto o outro não dispunha de qualquer tipo de tratamento para seus efluentes. O frigorífico que dispunha de tratamento de efluentes apresentou águas servidas com pH mais alcalino que seus afluentes e os efluentes da outra indústria, além de temperaturas maiores que as de seus afluentes. O frigorífico que não possuía sistema de tratamento de efluentes apresentou os mesmos com pH mais ácido e com temperaturas mais elevadas do que seus afluentes.</p>
